/background
Listening to music is not only enjoyable but functional.
Music has profound effects on human physical and mental well-being. Lowering anxiety, improving focus, engaging the brain, and even increasing our bodies' physical capabilities are just some of the benefits of listening to music regularly.
/problem
A lack of focus (i.e. our smartphones).
We have "tacked on" music to an ecosystem that keeps us constantly inundated with information making it impossible to maximize the benefits of our listening. What if the way we accessed our music was able to fade into the background when we needed it to?
/target audience
Millenials (age 25-34)
Millennials make up the largest segment of the market, with the most purchasing power, and more importantly, spend the most on health and fitness; reportedly spending more money on fitness than college tuition. Millennials are also more reluctant to give up the listening formats of their upbringing craving nostalgia and looking for more human ways of sharing and listening to music.

/development
Very early on I knew that the device needed to be wearable, the target audience's main concern was convenience, and having a worn device made it always available and more discrete. A digital display was added to display information and aid in navigating through large libraries of music.
/prototyping
Developed, fabricated, and tested a wide array of prototypes to develop the products form including the magnetic hardware and a magnetic charging stand.
